We believe that sports performance should be driven by motor learning, functional sports development, and individualized coaching. Our experienced staff is trained to assess the unique needs of each athlete and tailor a program that is best suited for their goals. We understand the importance of family and community in sports and strive to foster a positive environment that encourages growth and learning.


CEO - Nikki Hansen

Nikki Hansen is a motor learning specialist that has over 25 years of experience working with individuals of all ages to obtain their fitness and athletic goals. Using her physical education and coaching background, Nikki has the ability to breakdown movement and rebuild athletes for more efficient and effective training. As a licensed educator, Nikki uses her education pedagogy training to connect with clients to create long term adaptations to mind, body, and activity approaches.

M.Sc. - Southern Utah University - Sports Performance and Conditioning

M.Ed. - Utah State University - HPER, Sport Psychology Emphasis

PhD. ABD - Idaho State University - Rehabilitation and Communication Science

Research Focus: Motor Learning and Neurocognitive Skill Progression


The Yard is dedicated to helping athletes reach their full potential. Our team is made up of highly experienced and educated professionals, passionate about sports training and helping athletes of all ages and skill levels reach their goals.

We use a mix of physical and mental training techniques to help athletes develop their skills. Our goal is to help athletes stay safe, prevent injury, and reach their peak performance. We strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for everyone.


We are continually adding to our staff and are excited to welcome Jordan Giles, Taylor Billman, and Megan Evans as specialty instructors at The Yard! Watch for their classes starting this spring!!
